Recently, my parents and I took a trip to Edinburgh. Although the weather wasn't great (at all!), we still had the most lovely time.
Here's my list of the best things to do in Edinburgh:
The Castle
I feel like the castle is something you MUST do when you visit Edinburgh. It is lovely and some of the museums inside are really interesting. I didn't get many good photos from the day as the weather was appalling and there was so much rain and fog that you can barely see anything.
Shopping
For someone that lives in a small town/city, the shopping in Edinburgh is incredible. I bought some stuff from Urban Outfitters, Hollister, Jack Wills and House of Fraser.
Walking
This is something that sounds weird, but just ambling around is lovely in a city like that. There's a lot of beautiful settings and it was gorgeous. It reminded me of places like York and Bath.
Mum's great comfort food
OMG!! If I could eat this food everyday, I would without hesitation. I had the pork and herb sausages with cauliflower cheese mash! It was possibly one of the best meals I've ever eaten.
As I mentioned earlier, there was no good photos from my trip since it was so rainy and foggy.
...But if I could say anything about that city, it is that the people are the most lovely, kind-hearted and welcoming people I've met. The whole city was just happy and loving towards everybody.
